Sweet Surrender Sweet #2Abandoned by her father at a young age Jessie Swanson swore she’d never again depend on any man let alone someone with Dr Marc Trent’s reputation as a player Upon being assigned to work a shift as Marc’s nurse she vows to keep things entirely professional but when the darkly handsome surgeon asks Jessie to dinner her promises prove no match for his golden brown eyesOne date turns into another and then another and the better Jessie gets to know Marc the his take charge personality appeals to her She soon finds herself craving his The book wasn't bad but the book was not consistent with first book of the series Sweet Salvation which is a huge pet peeve of mine The most egregious example was the timeline of when Marc first saw Jessie and when they started dating The scene in the diner where Marc first saw Jessie was the same day Stacy had her interview and Jessie was just starting at St Joe's The events of Sweet Salvation were 2 years after that scene The events in this book ran concurrent with Sweet Salvation therefore roughly two years elapsed between when he first saw her and when they started dating However in this book it was about two months between first seeing her and starting to date Also Stacy mentioned later in the book that she met Jessie before she started at St Joes and in fact told her about the job at St JoesThe other problem I had with this book was that two scenes that were in the first book but left out of the second book were actually very important to the second book and should have been included This book was supposed to be a stand alone seuel but someone who had not read the first book would not understand what happened The first was Stacy's engagement party which led to the confrontation with Marc's family The second view spoiler was the argument that led to Jessie leaving Marc And the note she left wasn't in this book either view spoiler hide spoiler
