THIS WAS SO GOODi’m a huge jean grey fan of her original self and the past stuck in the future self so maybe i’m just biased but this has me HOOKED from issue one young jean is so adorable and her thoughts throughout this were so funny and softi really love the concept of volume 1 and i like the features of all the former phoenix hosts and thor can we just take a moment to appreciate jean wielding mjolnir that’s My lady thor i loved how big of a role hope had in issue 2 a lot of people seem to always forgot she exists still namor usually annoys me but his issue was so important and so well developed in terms of young jean becoming adult future jeandennis hopeless never fails to impress me this is almost as good as his spider woman series which is one of my all time favorites the art was cute for jean and the phoenix art was beautiful i’m so excited to continue on volume 2

Its next victim Jean enlists the help of some of its previous Jean Grey ePUB #10003 hosts but will the ultimate brain trust of Rachel Grey uentin uire and Hope Summers have the answers she's searching for COLLECTING JEAN GREY. The X Men solo comics have usually been pretty bland but with Hopeless writing this one and with other recent successes like Lemire's Old Man Logan and Taylor's All New Wolverine I was willing to give it a shot And the first issue was pretty good with Hopeless really going to the heart of young Jean's character and setting her up in contrast to old JeanSadly the rest of the book isn't any good First it becomes Jean Grey Team Up giving us insufficient time with our protagonist and really choppy continuity Then Hopeless makes some poor plot choices Half of the issues are about Jean asking people about hosting the Phoenix and that's just dull because they just give her cryptic answers about everything burning and still being scarred and no that's not in tune with any other characterizations of these way too many Phoenix hosts and blah blah blah The other two issues are about Jean learning too fight which seems like a long way to go to see her discover how to make little pink axesI was thoroughly bored by the final issue which was another talk about the Phoenix issue and also the one featuring the worst art which had been degenerating throughoutI won't be buying any future issues though perhaps I'll borrow them from the library

Jean Grey Vol 1Less cycle of life and death Now determined to escape that future young Jean sets out to write her own destiny But when she has a premonition that the Phoenix is coming for her she'll have to fight tooth and nail not to become. I thought it was pretty good I was never a fan of Jean Grey but I'm digging her new personality huge fan of the art as well love Jean's facial expressions she looks so loveable
