EPUB Ü Jean Grey Vol 1 · Dennis Hopeless
Its next victim Jean enlists the help of some of its previous Jean Grey ePUB #10003 hosts but will the ultimate brain trust of Rachel Grey uentin uire and Hope Summers have the answers she's searching for COLLECTING JEAN GREY The X Men solo comics have usually been pretty bland but with Hopeless writing this one and with other recent successes like Lemire's Old Man Logan and Taylor's All New Wolverine I was willing to give it a shot And the first issue was pretty good with Hopeless really going to the heart of young Jean's character and setting her up in contrast to old JeanSadly the rest of the book isn't any good First it becomes Jean Grey Team Up giving us insufficient time with our protagonist and really choppy continuity Then Hopeless makes some poor plot choices Half of the issues are about Jean asking people about hosting the Phoenix and that's just dull because they just give her cryptic answers about everything burning and still being scarred and no that's not in tune with any other characterizations of these way too many Phoenix hosts and blah blah blah The other two issues are about Jean learning too fight which seems like a long way to go to see her discover how to make little pink axesI was thoroughly bored by the final issue which was another talk about the Phoenix issue and also the one featuring the worst art which had been degenerating throughoutI won't be buying any future issues though perhaps I'll borrow them from the library
